# API — Lighthill PC

Lighthill PC publishes a small, read-only API so AI agents and developer tools can read our trade alerts and firm information directly. It is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server over Streamable HTTP: every operation is a JSON-RPC 2.0 message POSTed to one endpoint. No key or account is required, and nothing is written; https://www.lighthill.law/auth.md states this for agents that look for registration instructions.

## Endpoint

`POST https://www.lighthill.law/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Supported methods: `initialize`, `tools/list`, `tools/call`. GET returns 405.

## Tools

- **list_trade_alerts** — every alert with date, title, summary, and URL, newest first. No arguments.
- **read_trade_alert** — full text of one alert. Argument: `url` (alert URL or slug).
- **contact_lighthill** — email, phone, address, and LinkedIn for the firm. No arguments.

Results come back as MCP content blocks: `result.content[0].text` holds JSON for list and contact calls and plain text for a single alert.
